Joshua’s Raspberry & White Chocolate Truffe Ice Cream – Saviour of Tart Failure

Big tart fail. I won’t go into detail, but right now illness and disorganisation are keeping me from giving this amazing looking Orange Blossom + Honey Milk Tart a go. At least today I managed to make the base before hitting a wall. Unfortunately I then have the problem that I’m all based up with nowhere to go, until I remember this nice new ice cream I’ve got in the fridge.

Tell you what, the base and the ice cream is a pretty good caper. Celebrating the sharp tartness of the Raspberry is the order of the day with this tub of Joshua’s Ice Cream. You will not be coddled with sugary sweet creaminess, other than the plentiful, soft, chewy nuggets of white chocolate truffle. Even then, the truffles will only cut through the Raspberry flavour ever so slightly. A crumbly sweet pastry makes a nice foil for all the red orchard goodness. So today, milk tart fail is turned into a fruity tart win.

Serve with your crumble or shortbread of choice.

  1. Haha let me guess you didn’t have any milk? I’m so happy that you’re going to make it ! What the heck this ice-cream looks godly! Stop with all your NZ local things I’m at breaking point over here! Those white chocolate chips! Such a decent size!
