Whittaker’s Creamy Milk Chocolate Ice-Cream

Blueberry Brownie not included.
Blueberry Brownie not included.

If you like the flavour of Whittaker’s Milk Chocolate, and if you believe Nigella, you should like the flavour, then this ice-cream takes that chocolate and puts it in ice-cream form.

But that’s not all, here’s the thing. These guys have taken the sensation of getting through to the centre of a Lindt Milk Chocolate Lindor and made it central to the experience of eating this delicious smooth chocolate nectar. I don’t know how they do it, but once you spoon this onto the plate, it doesn’t take long for the out extremities to soften up oh so slightly, giving that seductive sensation of resistance and give that makes sucking on a Lindt chocolate so pleasurable.

Serve with your eyes rolled into the back of your head, toes curled up, and earth moving under your feet.

  1. Oh no you’re at it again with those ice-cream photos! This one sounds heavenly, I love milk chocolate AND the centre of Lindt milk chocolate.

  2. “With your eyes rolled into the back of your head”, couldn’t have put it better if I tried. The Peckish Kiwi, he can write as well as he can eat.

    1. If only I could write convincingly about things I don’t believe in.

I did at one stage think about going into marketing, then they told me I had to do statistics past the point where the questions were multi-choice. Ew. Short sighted, but back then I had thoughts of moving to Japan to teach English and maybe play professional rugby.

      1. HAHAHA. I find that highly coincidental. I was no. 13 outside center for my highschool girl’s rugby team. Thank goodness all commonwealth nations play rugby over American football. Just. No. No.

And yeaaaah, I can’t believe they do something called “brand auditing” in marketing. And marketing data analysis/marketing metrics? Sigh. If only it really WAS all about creativity and design. C’est la vie.

Hmmm. I want to make this into a milkshake.

      2. 13 was my favourite position, but I was normally stuck on the wing (Rugby League was my better sport, and I played outside centre there) which was okay, except for when people didn’t pass the ball.

As for why I didn’t go? I went pretty far down the road, was accepted into JET and all that, but changed my mind for a girl. Not Mrs P, but thought that something more financially stable might be the way to go so turned my back on my Japanese and literature degree to slowly and painfully finish my business one.

  3. That looks sooooooo good! *whimper* I live so far away…..The ice cream would melt before it got here….

    1. For me, yes. Probably this is the best one, then it depends on how you feel about mint, and fruit and nut.

But bear in mind I’ll drop $20 on a good tub of Kohu Road when the mood strikes and think that’s worth every penny.

    1. I had a long hard look at the Oob section in the supermarket today. Ended up going with Little Paddock Baby Cupcake instead. Oob is definitely on the shortlist though.

Oh, funny I looked at the Kohu Road dark chocolate too. I really like their Espresso flavour, which I hardly ever see anymore, and their Golden Syrup.

      1. LOL I do like the dark chocolate, but there are a few chocolatiers that I prefer more in the US. Of course, I’m the one that prefers American chocolate over the stuff they sell in the UK.
